Rack It Stack It recently completed a large-scale 300 bay pallet racking takedown in Cheshire, involving a mix of heavy duty Link 51 and heavy duty Hilo racking.
This was a major dismantling project, with the racking standing at 10 metres tall and requiring careful planning, the right equipment and an experienced team to complete the work safely and efficiently.
The project was completed in just 8 days, with all materials dismantled, sorted, stacked, metal banded and transported off site within the required deadline.
Heavy Duty Link 51 Racking
As part of the takedown, our team removed a large quantity of heavy duty Link 51 pallet racking, including:
- 10m tall frames
- 900mm deep frames
- 2700mm beams
- 2000kg UDL beam capacity
Link 51 is one of the most recognised pallet racking systems in the UK, and heavy duty stock like this is always in strong demand. Once dismantled and transported back to our yard, it can be checked, organised and prepared for future customer requirements.
Heavy Duty Hilo Racking
Alongside the Link 51 system, we also dismantled a substantial amount of heavy duty Hilo pallet racking, including:
- 10m tall frames
- 1100mm deep frames
- 3300mm beams
- 3000kg UDL beam capacity
This type of racking is ideal for customers needing a strong, durable storage solution capable of handling heavier pallet loads.
Completed Safely and Efficiently
To complete the project within the deadline, we had a dedicated team of 4 people on site, supported by:
- 2 forklifts
- 2 scissor lifts
- Specialist handling and dismantling equipment
Every bay was carefully taken down, with beams, frames and components sorted as the job progressed. Once dismantled, the racking was stacked, metal banded and loaded for transport, ensuring everything left site safely and efficiently.
Back in Stock and Ready for Reuse
All of the racking was transported back to our yard, where it will now be added into our used pallet racking stock.
